The most interesting thing I've discovered in building four spring break wardrobes is how many items can be worn regardless of one's age or preferred level of modesty. Every wardrobe has had a striped tee shirt or two, a Chan Luu bracelet, ballet flats, the same white denim skirt, a tote bag, some simple tee shirts, and a cardigan or two. Timeless, indeed! ... It's not uncommon to have to go straight from the office to the train/car/airport, so this selection accommodates that need. An oxford striped shirtdress as a swimsuit cover-up, some more modest shorts, and more dresses than before make this a very adult vacation ensemble! ... View the Post

Someone commented that when they looked at the camel and navy wardrobe here, they just imagined that the camel garments were gray... From your lips to my ears: here's the same wardrobe, generally, but more casual, and substituting gray for camel. I think my next adventure might be to switch out the accent colors, eh? ... This post is going to cover a lot of bases: I've received emails asking for a navy and camel wardrobe using pastels (specifically light blue and pink), I've had lots of questions about how many outfits can you REALLY get out of 24 items of clothing (over 100, easily), and I've had requests for showing how accessories can be worn with a variety of different ensembles.
Something to note here - once I got past the core of the two "eights" in the neutrals, I added some things that... well... not everybody would like! Partly, I really love the plaid pants, but moreover, I wanted to show what kind of options are possible when building on a solid core. And yes, I would wear those saddle shoes in a heartbeat!
