What if I Like Unusual Color Combinations? Start with a Scarf: Calm Scarf by KathKath

November 9, 2017

She’s sort of the human embodiment of Peace and Reconciliation…

Calm Scarf from KathKath

Calm Scarf – KathKath

When there are quarrels, disagreements, or flat out fights, corporate headquarters send her in…

Calm Scarf – KathKath

She delights in studying both sides of a conflict and finding the common ground that makes the beginning of compromise possible. She believes that there is more to unite than to divide…

coat – Vis a Vis; Calm Scarf – KathKath; earrings – Sukanya Thongperm; watch – Skagen; ring – Temple St. Clair; nail polish – Chanel Hyperrose Glass; sweater – L.L.Bean; crossbody bag – Bric’s; socks – Talbots; boots – BP.; cord pants – L.L.Bean; rolling bag – Bric’s

(yes, if you find a bag in the right color, it’s okay to have 2 bags from the same brand…)She knows that she needs a good dinner before she throws herself into the fray – self-care is a very important part of taking care of others!

pink tee – Lands’ End; earrings – Irene Neuwirth; scarf – Hermès Flowers of South Africa; cardigan – Uniqlo; turtleneck – J.Crew; earrings – Seta Jewelry; socks – Smartwool; skirt – Marks and Spencer; flats – Botkier; tights – Hue; pajama top – Christophe Sauvat; pajama bottoms – Christophe Sauvat

If, for some reason, she has to stay over for a 2nd day, she can always wear her dinner outfit to the office.

But she usually gets everyone back on good terms within 8 hours or so…

She’s not too old for a career change – Madeleine Albright didn’t become Secretary of State for the United States until she was 60…

love,
Janice

I am wondering how long the pant leg should be with the bootie. Is it just long enough to not bunch up when it hits the foot?

It depends on how you're comfortable – I keep mine reasonably short, in case I top to wear flat shoes instead of boots. I'm not a big believer in hard and fast rules for this sort of thing. I know that someone, somewhere in downtown Chicago is looking at my hem length and shaking their head, but I don't really care!

Love most all the clothes you show and the scarves have been beautiful! Unfortunately, most everything is outside our budget, but they do show some good ideas! Thanks for your blog!

I'm constantly torn between affordable and amazing – although those 2 aren't always mutually exclusive! So I try to strike a balance… but never doubt that I've got all kinds of budgets in my mind, and I'm never unaware of the fact that many women have to manage on very little.
      love and hugs,
      Janice
