More Beautiful Accent Colors! Pantone London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2026

More Beautiful Accent Colors! Pantone London Fashion Week Spring Summer 2026

October 10, 2025

Quick question before I throw a ton of beautiful colors at you: do you wear gym shoes/athletic shoes a lot? More and more, as I search for shoes, I'm finding about half of my results are something sporty. This is particularly true if I'm trying to find a pretty color! But is this the way YOU dress? I don't want to include tons of shoes more suited to sweaty, if you're more interested in sophisticated, or sexy, or simply simple...

Ten more colors! Well, a couple of these are repeats from the New York Fashion Week. Still, a lot of appealing colors:

It comes as a complete surprise to me to realize that Shale Green is my favorite color here!

What's ... View the Post

Need a Fresh Accent Color Pantone's New York Fashion Week 2026 Colors

Need a Fresh Accent Color? Pantone’s New York Fashion Week 2026 Colors

September 29, 2025

One of my favorite posts! Although it takes HOURS to find these things - but if you're going to test-drive a new accent color, it's worth it to get things that work together.

This year's colors are very interesting - I've never seen so many shades of red and pink...

But let's start with this color that looks almost yellow on the Pantone website, but if you follow their digital guidelines, it's actually this moss green. Hmm...

Finding this color was easiest if I searched for moss or lime. Acacia did NOT register, and I'm not surprised.

I quite like Alexandrite, although I can't help but feel that half of the things should be this teal green, and the other half the purple color that Alexandrite turns when ... View the Post

Five Final Colors from Autumn Winter 2025/26

Five Final Colors from Autumn/Winter 2025/26

April 18, 2025

The last five colors, until the next batch of colors appears!

I'm thinking of assembling all of the Pantone images that I've ever done - well, all the ones that I can find - and putting them into a big file that you could download. My ideas it that being able to see a LOT of these colors all together would give us all a broad base for figuring out favorites...

Let's (very carefully!) jump in:

Who doesn't look good in teal? I remember that it was always one of the four accent colors that were suggested when you needed a color that was at least neutral on most people. (the other three were coral, true royal purple, and a clear pink)

I'm becoming a big fan of Chili Oil -  I could break down and buy ALL of ... View the Post

Five More Colors from Pantone - Some of Them Are Repeats...

Five More Colors from Pantone – Some of Them Are Repeats…

April 14, 2025

Big confession here - I've lost ALL TRACK of what colors came from New York Fashion Week (capitalized, of course!), and which came from London Fashion Week.

I'm not sure that it matters to us, frankly. I got to the point where I had so many files and tabs open that I despaired of my limited sanity, so I've just decided to carry on as if I know what I'm doing!

And yes, some colors appear on both lists. It's interesting going BACK to a color after I thought I was quite finished with it...

But these are interesting, and all are lovely, depending on your taste. There's someone for every color, I'm convinced!

I rather love this green; I see it with brown all year. The brown buttons on the cardigan help that thought. ... View the Post

Another Five New Pantone Colors (Red and Brown!), and Five “French Five-Piece” Wardrobes”

April 11, 2025

Why yes, all five of these are some sort of red or brown. I don't know what Pantone's got in mind here, but I think anybody with some red or brown in their wardrobe is going to be very "on trend." As if we ever cared about trends - those are for people who don't know their own style!

Some of these colors are lovely; I'm eager to know which of these you like:

I'm quite smitten with brown these days - is this just finally embracing having brown eyes?

Chili Oil seems to be like a color that will look good any time of year...

And I clearly see this color more suiting autumn rather than summer, but what do you think?

This color is wonderful....

What's your favorite, if any? I think I'm ... View the Post

Five New Pantone Colors, and Five French Five-Piece Wardrobes

Five New Pantone Colors, and Five “French Five-Piece” Wardrobes”

April 9, 2025

Pantone has graciously shared with us their color choices for the upcoming Autumn and Winter, taken from what they saw at the London Fashion Week. There are also colors from the New York week - I will look at them all...

There are a couple of reasons that I always like to visit these colors:

We all want to at least consider new accent colors from time to time, and this gives us a good opportunity to visualize what a new color might look like in a range of items - shoes, bag, earrings etc. For all of us who know our accent colors, there's often a color in these lists that very close to what we've already chosen. These posts give us a chance to see some new items in our favorite colors!

So I'm showing you five ... View the Post

Thinking About Accent Colors Pantone London Fashion Week, Spring Summer 2025

Thinking About Accent Colors? Pantone London Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2025

December 30, 2024

I always love these, even though they are difficult - just because Pantone says that a color is going to be popular does NOT mean that anybody actually sells something in that color. Maybe I'm just ahead of the curve...

But this is interesting - no pink, no dark or medium blue, and an offensively named (at least to me) shade of brown.

And I must share - on the Pantone website, there's a recurring typographical error that calls this first color Windsor Wind, rather than Windsor Wine! Maybe it will be fixed by the time you read this, but still - someone should be proofreading these things.

Does anyone still proofread?

Let's go!

Why yes, I'm quite smitten with this next color!

I was surprised how ... View the Post

Looking for a Wardrobe Spark Pantone New York Fashion Week Spring 2025 colors

Looking for a Wardrobe Spark? Pantone New York Fashion Week Spring 2025 colors

September 23, 2024

Ah, one of my favorite projects! "New" colors are always fun...

I feel like the Pantone people had a meeting at which they decided that their work needed to be more "green," and that someone misunderstood the assignment. Lots of shades of green in this list!

But let's start with Orangeade, which I kind of interpreted in a more rust direction, for autumn:

I like this warm light brown, but I might have tried harder to give it a more appealing name than Bran...

I don't know why you'd take a nice shade of light camel and give it a slightly greenish cast.... OH WAIT, this is the green season...

I wish I could think of any legitimate reason for me to own this next scarf, but it would be fiction! If ... View the Post

Some Wardrobe Update Ideas - Pantone London AutumnWinter 202425 Fashion Week Colors

Some Wardrobe Update Ideas – Pantone London Autumn/Winter 2024/25 Fashion Week Colors

June 26, 2024

Some of us are diligently wearing our well-crafted wardrobes regularly, but still have... an itch? a yearning? for just a little bit of an update. Something fresh (for us). A bit of a wake-up call for our usual outfits...

And Pantone delivers, with ten colors that they isolated from what they observed at the London winter fashion week. Does this mean that these colors will be readily available or easy to find? Heck no! But they do give us ideas, and ideas are where all beautifully-dressed women start!

Oddly, there is NO shade of pink here.

Please note that I really don't think anybody will wear ALL five items in these images at one time. I'm not sure that you should buy all five, unless you've got a serious ... View the Post

Want to Embrace the Pantone Color of the Year Start with Art - Untitled Watercolor 1946 by Mark Rothko

Want to Embrace the Pantone Color of the Year? Start with Art – Untitled Watercolor 1946 by Mark Rothko

June 12, 2024

For those who don't pay attention to such things, the Pantone 2024 "Color of the Year" is Peach Fuzz. Very pretty, but that doesn't necessarily mean that we can find clothing in this color!

Our heroine is smitten with this painting, and she just knew that someone, somewhere, would eventually introduce clothing that would be perfect...

She knows full well that taupe is a miserably difficult color to find in clothing, so she's prepared to wear white with her new accent color, if necessary. And she's also willing to be persistent, and patient, in the hunt for taupe!

These are the colors she wants for her new wardrobe accent:

She's not entirely sure how much of this new color she will purchase - she's going ... View the Post

How do Accent Colors Work? Trying 9 Colors with Charcoal Grey and with Olive

How do Accent Colors Work? Trying 9 Colors with Charcoal Grey and with Olive

April 26, 2024

Now that we've taken a good hard look at the Pantone New York Fashion Week colors for Autumn/Winter 2024/25, we still have to decide if any of these colors actually look good with the majority of clothing in our wardrobes. No accent is useful if it looks icky with all of your best pants, sweater and jackets...

I wanted to look at some somewhat different neutrals than I usually use - no black, navy, beige or white this time! Instead, I'm thinking of Autumn and Winter, and I grabbed us two simples outfits, in charcoal grey and in olive green:

From here, it's pretty simple - I'm going to show again the colors from Wednesday, and then show our neutral outfits accessorized with each of the colors.

Some colors ... View the Post

Need a Fresh Accent Idea? Pantone New York Fashion Week 2024/25 colors

April 24, 2024

These are "new" colors for Autumn/Winter upcoming - maybe we can get a head start on having these in our wardrobes?

I'm very curious to know which of these you like and dislike... As always, I have a certain fondness for all of them - after spending hours looking for things in these colors, if I didn't love them, I would throw my computer from our very high windows!

Let's go!

First up - I would almost certainly wear this dress, and I would certainly have Skimmies under it!

This next dress looks MUCH better on a human being than it does like this - when the top part of the dress is "filled out" by a human torso, it balances the skirt much better!

yes, these earrings are very expensive, but ... View the Post
