This was a challenging week – I’m still wearing a brace on my right wrist 24/7, on my left wrist at night, AND I got a cortisone shot in my left foot! I was left unable to put on any sort of shoe over the top of my foot for the entire week; it was cool enough that I would have preferred sneakers or loafers…
Also, I’m sharing a snippet of the fabric of my 2 pairs of pants – they’re both black and white, but quite different. Note that my black and white dress is made of the same tic-weave fabric as one pair of pants. In that fabric, I also have the tunic, and the sleeveless top, and a dress… When something is just exactly what you love, you stock up, right?
Maybe the most interesting thing about looking at what I wore this week is that so much of my summer wardrobe is at least 3 or 4 years old. That makes me happy!
love,
Janice

I’m sorry to hear that you’re still not feeling well –
I love the tight color palette and cohesiveness of your wardrobe. It would be very satisfying to know that you are getting good use out of all your purchases. Love the Eileen Fisher pieces!
My color palette is not as tight as yours, but I am on my third year for several pair of linen pants – my summer staple when it gets hot and humid. I don’t get nearly the same longevity with summer tops…
Yes, I also love the tight color palette and cohesiveness of your wardrobe while knowing myself well enough to say I’d have to add more color. I also like the EF pieces. When my boys are little I had several pair of Boden linen pants. I wore them until the seat end was worn out – the day I took them out of the wash and discovered that was a shocker! And they no longer make that particular style/fit much to my great sadness. I’ve never had a pair of linen pants that fit as well since then. I keep trying….. Thank you Janice and I do hope you feel better soon.
This is the most black and white I’ve seen your wardrobe in a while… I wonder if you are comfort dressing with all the health stuff you have had going on. I know you love black and white, but lately it seems there have been a lot more pops of purple and pink. Just an observation. It looks lovely and the texture of the black/white items is very fun!
I love this collection. It is exactly what I strive for and thanks for showing the subtle pattern and texture. Healing thoughts going your way!
Ooh, Janice, I’m sorry your joints are complaining— I’ll pray for you.
All your choices look just like you! That EF fabric is lovely.
So sorry you’re feeling discomfort but it tickles me to see you get your fave purple color in the strapping of your brace. As my youngest daughter used to say , “ Great job being You!”
Feel better soon!
This WoW is so nice and cohesive. The EF pieces reminded me of way back when I was 15 or 16 and still had access to a sewing machine I sewed a travel capsule for a trip to Greece. Back then you could buy a pattern from Simplicity, Butterick, McCall’s (or if you were really proficient and willing to splurge Vogue) that had pants, maybe a skirt, a top, an unstructured jacket and sometimes a dress. Each piece could be used with any of the others because the style was cohesive. I used a print and two colours to sew two pair of pants, a skirt, two jackets and three tank tops. I loved my travel capsule (we didn’t call it that then) and only wished I’d sewn the dress as well. It worked great for our trip and I don’t even remember what else I might have brought. Those whole wardrobe patterns were wonderful. If I still had access to a sewing machine I’d buy a lot fewer clothes.
You poor thing ! Two braces at night sounds awful. I’d probably not do earrings and however are you managing the necklace and pendant? My hubby would have trouble helping but maybe Belovedest is more adept:) Feel better!!!
