How to Pack for a Long Autumn Weekend by Starting with a Scarf – Funky Foliage by Treasure & Bond

September 13, 2017

She really wants to go up to the lake house one more time… in the autumn…

She always feels really sentimental, and just a little bit homesick, in the autumn. Not homesick for home, but for that time when she was in school, and September brought fresh starts – a chance to begin again…

Autumn also brings back all of her favorite sweaters! So when her siblings starting talking about the need to double-check on the house before winter, she offered to go up…

A couple of evenings in front of the fireplace reading won’t be the worst thing in the world…

pajamas – L.L.Bean; robe – L.L.Bean; earrings – Latelita London; ruffled white shirt – Lands’ End; jeans – L.L.Bean; navy flannel blouse – Banana Republic; ski sweater – MSGM; down vest – Uniqlo; grey sweater – Essential Antwerp; corduroy pants – L.L.Bean; gloves – Moncler; slippers– L.L.Bean; boots – L.L.Bean; loafers – G.H. And a few long walks in the forest will be nourishing to her soul…

And there’s always a chance that the Fish & Game Warden is still working… hmm….

Who remembers Bass Weejuns? :-) Autumn nostalgia for sure, even when I lived in Houston! Love this post.

Too bad the Bass penny loafers that come in 26 colors! don't come in Wide widths. Times like these remind me of why I snatch up every pair of 6.5W that I find.

As much as I hate to see summer go (although we're having a last hurrah this weekend), I have to admit I long for the days of autumn and tbe annual fresh start. I was the only kid I knew who loved the first day of school.

Perfect little wardrobe to go with a perfect little story. I do hope she runs into that Fish & Game Warden…

I really love your wardrobes Janice, but I wish there were more warm color based ones. I know a rich dark brown is hard to find, but I can't wear grey, black or burgundy and look good. They completely drain me. I'd love to see a wardrobe with warm colours, but without rust, which I know is popular this year. I can't wear mustard, olive or rust either. Lol, no wonder I have trouble buying clothes! Anyway, as I'm typing this I realize I'm a difficult customer. Thanks for reading. Christine xo

It all depends on your focus. I need the cool colors and feel disappointed every time a warm focus one comes up. Janice must have it well balanced if we both want more.

Have you had a look at the following: http://www.kettlewellcolours.co.uk/season/warm
This palette gives you options other than rust, olive and mustard.

My Janics, your lady loves sneaking off to that lakehouse. It sounds like a good investment in terms of CPV. I feel peaceful being there with her (hope she doesn't feel I've intruded on her solitude!). And she makes me feel better about what I packed for my recent long weekend. I like your lady a lot and feel I could easily slip into her capsule – hope she's a generous size! Hugs, x.

Am I the only one who wants the wardrobe for when our lady of the lake(house) takes the fish and game warden to meet the rest of the family?
