She never thought she’d be a mom of teenagers in her sixties. But life intervened in the form of two precious and adoptable kids. She has a more casual lifestyle now, but she still loves beautiful clothes. Call her style casual luxe. Her life is all about her children, but she does allow herself a few treasured indulgences…
Every plan she ever had for her life has fallen completely apart.
She’s never been happier….
This, by the way, is a true story; the first 4 sentences are a direct quote from the wonderful woman herself!

I just bought this exact Hermes scarf! I love all the colors, but for me would omit the yellow.

Love this story, the colours, and the whole 4s concept. I'm thinking that writing a vignette to describe myself/my life would be a great basis for my wardrobe planning!

Beautiful clothes for a beautiful life! I LOVE the silver jewelry pieces. They are so hard to find right now. I always wonder how you manage to find those "needles in the haystack"?

Love that scarf and all of Annie Faivre designs. Is that a new one or might I find it on eBay (fingers crossed). As a woman in my sixties, I have one precious teenager but she is a grandchild. All the more power to the woman you are quoting.

Don't like the scarf and didn't particularly like the pie chart colors — LOVE the wardrobe! Wow, what you can do with a color scheme is amazing! The scarf does look gorgeous with everything of course. At the risk of leaving the same comment over and over again… I have so much fun seeing how to combine clothes with your systems. Different color schemes than I would ever choose help show me how the system works, rather than getting all wrapped up in whether I like them or not. It makes me want to go buy clothes but I am still restraining myself and buying from thrift and consigment stores, so now I am looking for scarves and accessories — I'm not a purse person so I don't have those to coordinate (one for summer, one for winter, no matter what ) but I have really learned a lot here about what a big difference scarves can make. There are plenty of lovely scarves in my modest price range, (or less, when it comes to used). The design isn't as important as the colors. In the spring I bought a gorgeous square scarf at the higher-end charity thrift store I go to, it was on clearance because it was for fall and winter — a Van Gogh iris painting, purple and green but the bulk of it in navy — the kind of thing sold at art museums. Reduced to $1! When I twisted it up and put it next to navy things, it looked gorgeous… but also next to white, purple, and numerous other colors. It will look great with a number of garments in both my work and casual wardrobes. And while I don't look good in green, I learned a long time ago in a quilt class that a little bright /new leaf green makes most other colors "pop." The green in this scarf sure does!
