Building a Capsule Wardrobe by Starting with a scarf: Alexander McQueen

Yes, I really don’t like his skull things… but someone specifically asked me what to wear with the camouflage print in subtle beige, taupe, brown and a touch of peach; I couldn’t resist these colors!  This is all about soft, subtle, with unexpected mixes of cool and warm colors.

Scarf – Alexander McQueen, sweater – Isabel Marant,
skirt – La Garconne,
ring – Anaconda, boots – Café Noir, earrings – Hari Jewels, reefer coat – Margaret Howell,
grey turtleneck – Brunello Cucinelli, tweed skirt – Jigsaw, pumps – Gucci

Scarf – Alexander McQueen, earrings – Catherine Canino,
dress – Rick Owens, bag – Aldo, boots –
EMU, bracelet – Maison Martin Magiela,  turtleneck – Malo, trousers – Chloe, brogues – Tods,
socks – Calvin Klein

Scarf – Alexander McQueen, sweater
– T by Alexander Wang, moonstone bracelet – Max & Chloe,
jeans – Paige, sneakers
– Golden Goose, moonstone earrings – Ippolita, color-blocked sweater – Dries van Noten, skirt – Hugo, pumps – Jimmy Choo

Scarf – Alexander McQueen, silk
blouse – Brunello Cucinelli, earrings – Windsor Store, watch – Burberry, pinstriped

Oh my goodness; absolutely lovely! Maybe it's the whole casual outfit coordinated with the peach star on the sneakers that makes me smile most. What an eye you have!

I bought this scarf on sale at Liberty in London last year and wondered how you would make it pop! And you have. I didn't even see the skulls when I bought it, they are very subtle. The funny thing is I realize the effect you are having on me. Since devouring your blog on a daily basis, I have purchased the exact earrings by Catherine Camino and have nude pumps like the ones you show.

thank you for doing this, even though the skulls may have turned you off

I'd also like pale blue with this, or a clear strong pink, not too "baby". The Malo trousers make me weak in the knees.
