What a gorgeous dress! It just goes to show that you start with a basic item and build from there.

Accessories really rule the day. The dress is lovely , but what variations hang in our closet that we never explore. I am looking forward to the next set. Many thanks!

Oh man, I feel like I've been doing it wrong (and wasting so much money to boot) all these years. Please keep these important sartorial lessons coming, dear Janice. I wish I could have you come make pairings/capsules out of my closet.

Another stunning collection. I am considering printing out these posts and collecting them in a binder for reference. Or you could do a book?

I would LOVE to do a book – that's my ultimate goal. Anybody know a good publisher?

Love how you have tarted up beige! Though I cannot wear it well, it is such a gentle, creamy colour. like wearing candlelight.

Re your book–first, I think you need an agent. See who specializes in non-fiction and contact them. Your work reminds me of the Chic Simple books, only better, because you are a problem-solver.

Here's a lesson worth learning. Unless I am terribly wrong, everything except the dress is the same as yesterday. We need to open our eyes and our minds! There is so much possibility in the closet. thanks!

Everything MOSTLY the same – I think I may have tweaked a few of the beiges to match better. Wait til the week plays out – you will want to rush out and buy coral (or turquoise) accessories!
    big hug,
    Janice

Thank you for the pictures – In a few months I've learned more than I have in the previous 20 years about how to dress nice yet simple. Your problem solving approach really appeals to me.
