A Travel Capsule Wardrobe – Packing in camel & coral

Some people struggled with yesterday’s blue and camel combo, so I’ve “warmed” up the coloring a little bit with some beautiful coral…

camel cardigan – Organic by John Patrick; gold heart earrings – Alex and Chloe; white tee – Michael Stars; Scarf – Hermes Rocaille; coral jacket – H and M; camel pants – L.K. Bennett; penny loafers – J. Crew; camel bag – Vince Camuto

sunglasses – Ted Baker; pearl earrings – Kate Spade; coral earrings – Ralph Lauren; striped top – newlook.com; white top – Kookai; floral dress – Josephine; camel tee – Private B; cardigan – Uniqlo; pearl bracelet – Kate Spade; capris – Carven; skirt – Josephine Studio; lace top – Dorothy Perkin ; camel dress – 3.1 Phillip Lim; coral tee – Eddie Bauer; gold pumps – Jimmy Choo; flats – Isabel Marant; sandals – Arche; coral bracelet – Ans Jewelry.com; wristlet – Coach

love,
Janice

There is a palette for all of us…
your ability to compose these vignettes with clothing makes me think that you might be a painter.

I'm not at all artistic! Well, I never thought I was… I think that my palette is women, and my paint is fabric, leather, and stones. And you all are my masterpieces! That would be enough for me.

Coral is one of my most flattering shades and fortunately it was in style this spring. Love your combinations.

I would buy every piece of this. Coral is one of my best colors and I love camel, although I have a hard time finding it

I am loving your posts…can you address the issue of trying to cultivate a nice wardrobe when you live in a rural area with limited shopping venues?? Buying on line is always possible but so difficult when you can't touch or try on the clothes!!

Loved your blue colour so much that it's pushed me to re-think my accents in a new wardrobe schema. Vivienne- you are an inspiration AND initiate temptation!! ;-))

I'm new to your blog, and I'm loving it! I really like your 5+2+7 formula and the idea of 8 basic pieces in a neutral. Building on this 5+2+7, what pieces would you suggest adding for a 12 day trip (I will be tossing in a pair of jeans!).

Looking forward copying all this goodies soon, warming up in advance, replacing with my existing clothes (that I purchased following your guidance) in my mind, dear Janice! I would never think of these awesome outfits on my own, thank you so much!
