I’m Still Not Ready…

September 30, 2023

My computer is working, but I’ve been completely preoccupied taking care of my mother. I know you understand…

love,

Janice

p.s. This rose was in a $5 bunch of roses we bought a few weeks ago; I hoped that they would last through dinner, but in fact they held on for a week!

Make the most of the time you have with your mother. I spent a lot of time whizzing overvto the U.K these past 12 months. My final trip my sister and I were lucky to spend five days with her as she slipped away just missing her 96th birthday. Nothing more important than our close friends and family. Sending you lots of love.

Family (especially mothers!) first, but do remember to do at least one thing for yourself every day. You’re in my thoughts.

Thank you for all the wonderful outfit ideas that you have given us. I do look forward to receiving them. The beautiful rose is in my colours, a gift from nature. With love and best wishes.

Caregiving is one of the hardest jobs there is. I most definitely hope you’ve got help taking care of you while you take care of your mom. Remember that you have fans in the Chicago area if you need them!

The beautiful rose reminds me of a Georgia O’keefe painting. And just as the petals embrace the hidden heart of the rose, a mother and daughter hold one another deep in their own hearts.

Been there. Remember to take care of yourself as well. And take comfort in knowing that while your intent was to create a “wardrobe website,” the reality is you’ve created a community that is loving you back.

As someone who did family care giving for over 15 years, I know how demanding and, at times debilitating, it can be. Please know that we are sending you lots of love. We appreciate all you do and will gratefully rush to click on any posts that you can do. And when there is a pause, although we miss you when you are on break, we can enjoy spending a little extra time reviewing old posts, . . . So beautiful! Take care of your own health, and we will be right here!
