1 Dress 100 Days: Days 68, 69, 70, and 71

November 10, 2022

Nothing amazing going on in our world, except for unseasonably warm weather. I never know if I’m supposed to be happy about it, or worried because I know it’s not a good sign..

But I WILL go outdoors and enjoy it!

love,

Janice

hahaha I thought about wearing a dress and tights today as I was laying sleepless last night. Then realized the dress I wanted was in the spare room where we had a guest. Then I started thinking about your 100 days dress and how easy that must be. And then I started thinking about paring down my wardrobe even more than I already have (there’s a closet that is 60% empty hangers!) And if I bought a dress to wear for 100 days which one would I pick. Much more pleasant thoughts on a sleepless night than could be!

It has proven to be really uncomplicated! I can see myself wearing a lot of outfits with a black tee shirt and black pants, or a black tee shirt and jeans… It’s a theory that has potential, this “solid core” plus accessories…

I have often thought about creating a wardrobe of jeans/black pants, black or white tee/turtleneck, and a blazers/cardigan. Those items are basically my wardrobe anyway but with many more colors. I kinda wish Wool& had the challenge for pants and a shirt because their dresses just don’t do it for me.

I love the purple as well!
I have enjoyed seeing your combinations & it makes me realize I don’t need as many clothes as I thought I needed.
I would be interested to know whether you’re getting bored or whether this exercise has been freeing with deciding what to wear each day?

Looks as if Chicago pushed its usual cold air west to us. Our ski areas need it!
I love how the jumper with a black tee can give you the look of a dress. The scarf & pearl earrings are always an effective way to add understated polish.

It’s going to be fun seeing how you style the dress for cool weather. And maybe a party or two!

I’ve loved this challenge and will be sorry when it ends. I tried to follow along with a pair of black cotton pants. The problem was washing the pants and expecting them to dry overnight. I was jealous at how easily your wool dress did when it had to be washed. Drying overnight seems to be a key factor in the success of a challenge like this.
