1 Dress 100 Days: Days 40 and 41

October 12, 2022

Monday was a quiet day at home, working; yesterday I ran all over the city shopping, getting a hair cut, and getting a mammogram!

Does anybody else have more fun than me? (yes, I’m still wearing a knee brace!)

love,
Janice

I admire your challenge immensely. Your creativity is great. I would never do it as I had the 12 year challenge as a Catholic student. No creativity allowed, but same darn jumper, later a plaid skirt. My mother loved it, I didn’t.

Oh gosh, Kathy! I forgot all about those years in the plaid jumper! And, how grown up we all felt when we able to remove the bib and wear the just a skirt!! Yeah I imagine my mom loved it, too, with three daughters!! Makes me wonder if that’s why I love fashion so much now since I was deprived so early on! ha ha

I wonder if that is why I can’t stand black or blue – my first uniform was black and yellow (the yellow made me look sickly) and my secondary school uniform was navy and sky blue.
        It had its used though.

I’m assuming that this challenge is working because of the wool material. I doubt a jersey or cotton dress would stand the course. The jersey would get milled and cotton would need washing and ironing every few days.

Having lovely accessories makes a big difference when wearing the same black dress every day. Such a great experiment in creativity. A colonoscopy and a mammogram within a few weeks is commendable. Congratulations for taking such good care of yourself, with style!

Where did you find that beautiful necklace? I think I must have it, and soon!

The lotus pendant would fit right in at my church where we learn and discuss all religions. (There are common threads amid them all which call on us to be caring people.)
You scarf on day 41 is fabulous. And one can never, ever go wrong with a simple pearl earring. Maybe that’s just me, but anything large and showy make me feel “off.”

I truly hope your knee/back gets better.

Well, at least you look fabulous as you tend to life’s never ending minutiae. Thank you for being here and offering so much beauty and inspiration to the world!

I’d like a better look at the Eileen Fisher jacket. There doesn’t seem to be a link. Can you help. Many thanks. I love this exercise.
