My Favorite Posts: Building a Capsule Wardrobe by Starting with Art

Who am I kidding? I’ve loved all of these posts, and they are going to continue to be the core of what I do on The Vivienne Files. Getting dressed might be as close to art in our lives as some of us get, and I’m going to make sure that we enjoy it!

This might be my single favorite wardrobe EVER (the tassel on the tote bag was a stroke of GENIUS):

Start with Art: Version 2 The Apparition by Gustave Moreau
The painting
Start with Art: Winter at the Convent by Margaret Loxton
Start with Art: Rose by Ansel Adams
Start with Art: The Shoe Shop by Elizabeth Sparhawk-Jones

From Margie in Toronto – "Winter at the Convent" does make me smile – just love that colour palette! I have finally caught up with your backlog and am now up to date! I cannot believe the amount of work you do! Thank you for all your efforts.

Glad to see from your Pinterest photos that you seem to be having a wonderful holiday and that the weather seems to be cooperating. I visited Tintern Abbey a number of years ago and it is very moving. Safe trip home.

your posts always bring a smile to my face. it is true, other than things like gazing at a bowl of bright persimmons and apples on the kitchen table in the late afternoon sun, your "fashion pictures" are the closest to art I get! Thanks for brightening my days. Carol
