Unless absolutely everybody ignores the Internet today, The Vivienne Files will pass 10 million page views some time today.
Leaving me pretty much completely humbled, and a little bit dumbfounded.
I’ve already thanked you all about a hundred times, but I want to thank you, all, again. For everything.
And I have one last dream that hasn’t come true, with which I need your help.
Do you need someone who’s cheerful, informative, somewhat funny, and full of love to speak to a group of people? Might I humbly submit myself as a possible speaker?
You won’t be disappointed. I’m willing to speak in exchange for travel expenses, and we will all have a lot of fun, I promise.
And thank you, once more, for your friendship and support; I couldn’t (and wouldn’t want to!) do it without you,
Congratulations and thank you! Found you some months ago. Greatings from Finland. Reagrds Eva
Amazing! Congratulations! (And, and especially, thank you.)
Congratulations, Janice. Checking The Vivienne Files is a delightful start to my day. Thank you! Diane
Hearty congratulations Janet. Heaven knows I have contributed heavily to those 10 million views. Doors are going to open with plenty of opportunities for you. I just know it.
And thank you so much for enriching my life!
So wonderful that you can share your gift with so many.
Congrats!! I am new here, but feel like I have definitely contributed as I went back and read every single entry from the beginning. Once I was done, I missed it so much, I began all over again…from the beginning =)
Kind of like when I read Gone With the Wind. As soon as I finish, I start it again.
Thank you for all you do.
Just think about the influence you have had by showing women of certain age on how to dress more stylishly by ignoring silly trends and instead focusing on better quality and fit. My own wardrobe is much smaller but much more user-friendly because if it. Best of luck with your new venue.
Utterly thrilled! I think I may have been one of your early subscribers. I've so enjoyed being on this journey with you, my friend. ❤️
Congratulations! I never miss a post – wish I belonged to an organisation with bags of money for travel expenses – you'd be one of my first suggestions for a speaker!
I'm sure if you contacted local service groups like Rotary, Lions etc. and the U3A, they'd be very happy to have you as a guest speaker. Best of luck with it!
Congratulations Janice! I would love to hear you speak to a group about dressing well and efficiently!

You would make a great speaker for a business women's group or for a travel store or tour group. I read you every day and now carry your worksheet in my purse. Congratulations on your 10 million! You are a teacher as well as an entertainer.
Congrats! I read what's going on in the world, then I come here, and feel so much better. You've really helped me change my thought processes as to my wardrobe.

Congratulations Janice. Very well deserved news. You would definitely make a great speaker.

Congratulations and good luck with your future speaking engagements. I'd love to hear you speak and should you ever come to Victoria I hope we could meet up.
WOW! Congratulations and thanks for all you do to enrich the lives of so many loyal and faithful readers. Best wishes in your new endeavors. Kirsten
Congrats and greetings from the Netherlands. I love your blog

Congratulations! I love reading this blog–it's taught me so much. I'm a minimalist with a small wardrobe, so the 4×4 series has been especially helpful, but I enjoy whatever you post. I'm a much better shopper (and dresser) since I found you. :)

How cool, congrats!

I feel like I,, alone, must count for at least a million of those page views!!! Thanks Janice for all you bring to our world. You are one of my favorite moments of the day.

Might think about teaching a workshop on wardrobe building for a university lifelong learning program. It won't pay much, but it's a great way to figure out your program, what questions people have, what collaterals you need. I could see you turning that into workshops for cruises, maybe with port shopping advice. They have knitter cruises (which would be another venue-building wardrobes around hand-knits is a workshop most avid hand knitters need) so I'm sure they have shopping cruises.
Ooh, a shopping & makeover cruise. Now I can finally picture myself actually taking a cruise!
I never saw myself taking a cruise but if Janice is teaching on the cruise I am in. I love the idea of a course using the worksheets and everyone can discuss their progress. Maybe do by Skype for people who are out of town.
What a good idea. It would be fabulous on a cruise. You and the passengers would have a great time.
Let me add my congratulations! I know your blog represents countless hours of viewing/thinking/selecting/arranging/writing/revising before a final post is ready. I am already working on how to get you to speak in Vancouver, BC!

You have changed my wardrobe, shopping and closet size! I can't thank you enough. I was struggling to be come a minimalist but didn't see how to make my wardrobe work with fewer pieces. Since reading all of your posts I have a great wardrobe that is one tenth the size of the old! is functional, and beautiful. I get more compliments on how great I look than ever before. When I reach into my closet everything is in good repair, fits beautifully and is hardworking multitasking pieces. All thanks to you.
You will be a wonderful speaker, good luck in your new venture. Hope there is a book, dvd or podcast in our future. Can't wait to see what's next.

Congratulations!! I am so impressed…I am no where near that! 10 Million is such huge accomplishment…great work!
Congratulations on 10 million! I look forward to your posts each day. I have learned to travel lighter, and to focus my wardrobe. Shopping is easier.
I would suggest you contact Women's Chamber of Commerce organizations.
There must be someone in Hawaii or a resort in Bali that would love to book you. :D Wishing you the best in this endeavor, as you have always given your best to us all. Thanks, you deserve this milestone.

Many congratulations! I have certainly contributed a lot to those pageviews since I discovered this blog. I had become frustrated with my dysfunctional wardrobe, and wanted both a smaller and harder-working one, but had no idea where to start. You set me on the path to wardrobe bliss. Many thanks!
Congratulations on the milestone Janice!
This is the only blog I follow and have read posts more than once. You do a great job at showing how to work through applying the capsule concept, especially puling together your core colors with each other and different ways to use and select accent colors. Love the posts that start with art or scarves. My accessories need the most editing. Most were gifted or inherited so they are a random bunch not chosen with my current core or lifestyle in mind. I really don't have the space for them and end up under accessorizing, even for a minimalist. Hopefully there will be someone excited for the big donation I am about to make.
Your blog is extremely useful with the wealth of information you provide where most blogs are pretty pointless so two thumbs up for that. Now, if you could just think about giving The Vivienne Files a makeover in the future to update the overall look it would be perfect.
Congratulations! Your big sister is very proud of you! Nice picture, Grandma's dining room back a few years!
Congratulations! What a milestone! I love the Vivienne Files! Thank you!

Oh Janice, and you were worried about quitting your "day job?" Congratulations!!! I love your style.

Wow! That's amazing. I'll echo many of the others here by saying I've contributed to many of those views as I follow your posts faithfully. Last year you helped me plan my wardrobe for 12 days in Turkey with a wardrobe that fit in a small suitcase. I felt very comfortable wearing things more than once as I added a sweater or a scarf to change the look.
I think you would be great speaking to groups. I know I would love to attend!
I would like to add to all the comments and say that I too read your blog every day and have completely changed how I approach my wardrobe. Working on the black grey camel and cream. Thanks for everything and greetings from Ireland
Janice: I bet this beats the job you left to embark upon your blog full-time. Many thanks for sharing your keen eye and wisdom.
Congratulations, Janice! That's quite the milestone. Thank you for all the knowledge you share here.
Success couldn't come to a more deserving person. You are the hardest working blogger I read, and you make it look effortless.
How much money do you make from this?
A huge acheivement I read your blog daily and am always amazed by your creative spirit Here's to many many more!
Congratulations, what a great achievement and another who reads your blog every day but doesn't always comment. There are also cruises for those who sew, now that would be interesting!

I came across your blog while googling what to pack for a week away – and in my searches came across the term 'capsule' wardrobe =- anyway, when I found the blog, I read and read and back read entries – THANKYOU for what you write I love reading it. My core colours are Navy and Cream – but I also love red, orange, purple, coral, teal – how do i put all these together???? I have begun to collect a few basics in navy and cream, but I have heaps of stuff in the other accent colours, and I get lost in trying to put it all together – I did a colour course many years ago, and was given SPRING as my season, and have collected the lovely 'accents' ever since and think I have too many clothes in those 'other' colours help!

and janice I would like to add, that if I were living in the states, I would get you to come talk to my group of friends in a heart beat – I reckon you would be so interesting to listen to and have fun with – alas, I live down under in Australia – but if you ever make it to this neck of the woods we could show you a fun time. xxxx
