How to Pack for a Long Weekend: Yellow and Grey

November 27, 2013

If you can wear yellow and grey well, I must heartily encourage you to do so – these colors are always so delightful to see together.  The citrine jewelry is particularly fun, and not blindingly expensive.  Sunshine and clouds together…As always, if you have trouble with the links, PLEASE let me know.  I’m not always sure what goes wrong, but I’m always eager to fix things!

Cardigan – Uniqlo,  earrings – Novica,  pants – Hallhuber, tee shirt- Uniqlo, watch – AX Armani Exchange, scarf – Nordstrom,  loafers – Mazzarina, Coat – Mint Velvet,  bag – Briggs and Riley

Flannel shirt – Frank and Eileen, sweater – Uniqlo,  scarf – terracotta New York,  dress – Hoss Intropia,  necklace – Novica, jeans – JBrand,
citrine bracelet – Novica, flats – Vince Camuto

I’m pretty sure that this is a man’s sweatshirt, and I’m also pretty sure that gender is not really important in sweatshirts…

Sweater – P.A.R.O.S.H., sweatshirt – Adidas

love,
Janice

great as always – can you tell me, do you intend the dresses to be worn bare legged or are you assuming the traveler has tights? I'm asking because I think that the weather will often require tights but sometimes I find the look tricky, the color of the tights has to be right, and not all shoes look right with tights. thanks!

Tights, unless you're someplace warm, and have the world's best legs. In this vignette, charcoal tights that match the shoes would be my choice.
      Happy Thanksgiving!

Janice, one of the things I'm grateful for is your blog! You've really made a difference in the way I dress, shop (or not), and feel. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I really like grey with yellow. You have come up with beautiful combinations lately. I started my year long no- shopping regime in October, and I was very happy when that Lauren link for the cable knit cardigan DID NOT work. It saved me from temporary insanity…
    Happy Thanksgiving, Janice

I never were yellow (NOT my color) but this post makes me wish I did. Have a great holiday!

I love the combination of one neutral colour and one accent colour…very inspiring. Thanks Janice.

I love this…a question. how can you determine if a color looks good on you or not? Lights are different, markup changes things, I am confused.
