There will be blog posts six days a week while I’m in Paris – everything’s all scheduled and ready to go!  (no, I am NOT going to be writing while I’m on vacation…)  You will know everything about my packing approach by the time I’m back in Chicago – at which time I will tell you every detail of our trip…

Have fun on your trip. You are way more organized that I could ever be with your posts, and I'm pretty organized myself.

I love winter white. I recently found a fabulous winter white dress by Moda International (Victoria's Secret) at the Goodwill shop for $5.00. I searched it online and found that its still being sold on ebay for around $50.00 and originally retailed at $79.00. It's pristine and perfect and has a wonderful cowl and sleeve detail. I wish you were styling it for me!

    Common wardrobe:

Common: ordinary – vulgar – usual – general – coarse
Not distinguished by superior or noteworthy characteristics; average
    Of no special quality
of mediocre or inferior quality; second-rate
Unrefined or coarse in manner; vulgar: Clothing that branded her as common.
Vulgar describes association with the great mass of people and often connotes lack of refinement, commoners.

      :-))

I just returned from a short journey packing the 'common wardrobe' with one dressier item needed for an occasion. Everything was carried on board, I looked pretty nice and definetely a lot nicer than what most people travel in these days. Thank you, Janice and enjoy your holiday.

Have only just seen this post, so I'm not sure if our anonymous friend will see this, however I would like to add a couple of other definitions for common from the Collins English Dictionary:
      – belonging to or shared by members of one or more nations or communities; a common culture
      – widely know or frequently encountered (a common wardrobe, for example)
      Of course, you also have:
      – widely known and notorious; a common nuisance.
For my part, I just love the way Janice lifts the clothes we all have in our common wardrobes to artistic heights by adding a few brilliant accessories.
I also love the comments of the 99% of the other very uncommon and lovely friends and followers of this inspired and beautiful blog.

I really feel sad for the commenter who didn't understand what I was trying to do with these outfits. If she ever comes to Chicago, I'd like to meet her, and talk to her and get to know her better. Maybe I could write some things that would address her needs also!

She sounds like she has a huge chip on her shoulder! It's really nice that you feel for her and want to help her.

Oh, winter white. Pile on some pearls. :)
I am convinced that "rather negative anonymous" must have stumbled upon the blog and wondering what we are all doing. Little does she know… It almost made me laugh. Janice, you are uncommonly kind.

She’s really unhappy! You can own a wardrobe of ‘common’ clothing items that are of the best quality and special cuts that really set you apart. She doesn’t seem very classy in my book!
