It's a dressy weekend - the weather will probably be warm... but there is always a chance of a cool snap!

But how to be dressy without bringing everything you own? Well, a tight color palette and planning ahead is always the way to go.

And how about starting with black and pretty accents?

Before you go down this path, you want to be ABSOLUTELY certain that wearing black isn't a problem. This wardrobe is actually designed for someone who's a prominent figure in a wedding, at which the bridesmaids will be wearing black dresses; I think she's okay with this!

Remember our heroine who helps non-math types learn to work with data and statistics? She's on the road again!

She likes structure, and clear-cut plans. She was wise enough to realize that she would NEVER find clothes in this "wet cardboard" color, so she substituted her favorite bright yellow/gold for the beige... This is her inspiration:

She likes bright, and cheery, and she's happy to hold the attention of her "students" while she's persuading them that numbers will not hurt them...

She teaches creative people to work with data. It's not easy...

What it all comes down to is not bothering to look outside the box - as they love to say in business circles. She's convinced that the box is far from empty, and you just need to keep looking. There are possibilities that nobody has imagined!

She thinks that her affection for cubist art is somehow related to this; those artists looked at their subjects in a new way, and saw things nobody else saw... "Keep rearranging what you have, and eventually a new picture will emerge!"
