Two important notes…

(1) I’ve lost quite a few emails; I don’t know how it happened, but I know that they’re gone. If you’ve written to me recently and didn’t receive a response, write to me again! (don’t worry, it won’t bother me!)

(2) I think I have flu; I can’t swear that there will be a blog post tomorrow. I will do my best, but right now it feels like I’ve swallowed broken glass, and that for some reason limits my creativity!

love,

Janice

Janice, you have probably done this already but if not take a covid test. A sore throat was pretty much my only symptoms and I was double vaxxed and boosted when I caught the virus.

    Hello Janice,

I’ve had Strep throat twice and that’s exactly how it felt to swallow – like I had broken glass in my throat. Do take care and see the doctor if you don’t feel better tomorrow.

Oh no, hope you feel well soon. Repeating the previous chimes…do get a Covid test if you haven’t yet. That being said there was a horrible cold going around awhile ago that started with the ‘shard’s of glass’ sore throat. It sent us off for Covid tests which were negative. I knew three people who had Covid at the time and barely had a symptom. We were down for ten days, so do take care. Hot ginger lemon and honey tea, a good book or two and a few good Netflix shows…

Poor you follow all the above suggestions and hopefully you will feel better soon and as someone else suggested we can enjoy the archives until you are up to posting again A quick thanks for what I have learnt from you. Just back from a six day trip to the U.K and managed to travel just with an under seat bag. Jeans, skirt and dress plus 2 cashmere jumpers and I wore a slightly different outfit each day. Would never have managed that without you!

I just discovered yesterday that for at least the past month all the emails that come through my website contact from were sent by Microsoft to a junk mail file that isn’t transmitted to Outlook. For anyone else that has a website on a server with email (mine’s on GoDaddy) you might want to drill into this.

How awful! As a regular sore throat sufferer, I highly recomend alternating cold water or fresh lemonade with hot tea. Gargle with a weak peroxide and warm water solution…about a 1 to 3 or 1 to 2 parts mix usually works.
