How to Pack for a Long Weekend: Navy and Camel

November 22, 2013
A classic cabled cardigan is always a good starting-point for this travel outfit.  After I tossed in a striped top, I thought that a solid scarf with a little bit of embellishment might be a calming touch.  This scarf is one of those things that you could wear forever… and if you want jewelry made of genuine stones that don’t break the bank, take a look at Novica.  You know that these aren’t investment-grade gems, but they aren’t glass or synthetic, and the unique designs are delightful.

Cardigan – Ralph Lauren,  earrings – Novica,  pants – Jaeger, cowl top – Phase 8, watch – Skagen, sparkle scarf – St. John Collection, loafers – Munro, Coat– Uniqlo,  tote – Fossil

I love this sweater… I have a thing about cable-knit sweaters, I admit!  And this dress is cut in such a way that it would forgive a holiday dinner without giving away the secret.

shirt – Mango, scarf – Joanna Alsop,  dress – Acne,  necklace – alienina,  boots – Andre Assous,  corduroy jeans – Dsquared2,  cabled sweater – MSGM

A couple of alternate/spare tops:

Sweater – Kai-Aakman, blouse – Vince

love,
Janice

I am so happy to see navy return, hopefully to stay awhile. It seemed to disappear for a few years, but it is such a softer side of black and I would like to own some more great pieces like you have found here. Thanks for the options…have a wonderful weekend, Janice.

Every time I believe a set is going to be my favorite, you surprise me with a new favorite. This one is my new favorite! :-)

    What Ellen said. :)
And I always have had a cable knit in my wardrobe for as long as I can remember. Don't wear much print, but give me some texture any day.

Stunning and I'm also a huge fan of cable knit sweaters.

Every capsule wardrobe you put up here I think, "THOSE are going to be my capsule wardrobe colors." But then the next day you put up another lovely collection, and I change my mind again. Lovely as always!

Can anyone suggest me any best Best Weather Measuring Instruments? Actually, I wanna set a cabled weather measuring instrument in my office to forecast weather report for our manufacturing.
