Or, as the French say, a "coup de coeur". –Susan in SLC

Maybe the opposite of coup de coeur. I don't try to justify anymore. For me, if the colour, fit, size or form isn't exactly what I know will play well in my wardrobe, it'll have to stay in the store. LOL life is too short to not defend your standards. Even if it's on sale.

As always, you have distilled so much wisdom in your mnemonic. Also, do not buy when you are not right with •yourself•- bored, sad, lonely, upset or unwell.

Many thanks to you, I have become quite adept at returning…….I do that much more than I keep purchases. When I do keep an item, I am amazed. These day,s the quality and difficulty with shopping online (color and fit) makes instant gratification a thing of the past. Patience is the real key to achieving a good wardrobe.

    Warmly, Kathleen

My new mantra and something to remember when I am looking at myself in the changing room mirror.
