It’s been a really bad year for autumn foliage…

Or so I was told, by everybody I met in New England…But they have VERY high standards!

Regular blog posting will resume tomorrow – I’m so happy to be home…

Glad to have you back. Looking forward to tomorrow. Btw, that Nordstrom scarf is beautiful. Will wear it again today.

Glad you could spend some autumn days in my part of the world. Sorry if the purpose of the visit wasn't all pleasure. Looks like you saw some fairly good foliage. Not our best year true, but not our worst either. Depending on where you were, I hope you got some apples. :)

Because of a wet spring a disease got into the maple leaves making them fall off the trees faster than normal. It was pretty but we lost out on the big blast of color because it went too quickly. Fireworks without the grand finale.

I'm a New Englander & can vouch that it really was less colorful this year. Because it was a dry summer, fall just wasn't as vibrant as usual. Thankful you did find a few spots to enjoy, You'll have to come back another year & see the really good stuff! Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of your visit.

Welcome back! Fall colors have been rather drab here as well. In fact, there is still a lot of green on the trees despite the fact we had snow yesterday. Weird Fall.
