A Travel Capsule Wardrobe – Packing for Paris in orange and beige

You DO understand that when we invoke the “dream meme” of Packing for Paris, we also mean “a plan for what I will purchase this spring and summer”?  I know we’re not all going to Paris, but it’s a lovely structure around which to plan this season’s carefully curated and deliberately distilled wardrobe additions…And I’ve got to go to work soon, so you’ll have to build your own outfits from these choices.  Someone once commented to me that it was like paper dolls!  Enjoy, and thanks for being here.

Love, absolutely love, these! And I, yes, did say that playing with your blogs is more fun than paper dolls. (I, Gail, aka Anonymous.)

Beautiful, happy palette and choices. Maybe a bit ahead of the season for April in Paris, but by mid to late May, gorgeous!

heeheehee – toss on the floral jeans, striped tee, gingham shirt and Hermes scarf for a supremely of-the-moment pattern mix-stravaganza! i love orange, beige, and pattern mixing so i'm enjoying this wardrobe that much more. i really appreciate the feel of the brushed gold with this palette. Varying, well chosen textures make a real impact when working with limited color choices.

here in the SF bay area, the springtime feel of this look is right on time! Have a great day, steph

LOVE your blog and have been stalking it for over a month now. Turning friends on so they don't miss out! This is even BETTER than paper dolls because I am the doll! Love the color combinations and capsuling ideas. A ton of value, ease and, of course, "Je ne sais quoi!".

Thanks for your hard work to make things easier for us!

I've been hunting for a pair of beige pants this spring. No luck so far, but perhaps it's early. You give me some great ideas of how to wear them, thank you!

    I love this set.
The only changes I would make for me would be to swap the floral and check tops for stripes and floral pants for solid pants or skirt.
The floral prints here are lovely but I've noticed that since I turned 50, floral makes me nervous :)

This (with a slight tweak on the cut of pants) is a dream wardrobe for me!
What lovely pieces you have so thoughtfully assembled!
