Love all the looks. Makes me want to go shopping for accessories. rethinking my closet has been a long process, but it will be rewarding when it is done.

I love the way the tortoise accessories seem to work as a neutral with every dress you've shown. I never would have thought to combine them with navy, but it's a great look. Thanks.

The message I'm getting is stay simple and choose solid colors, go for coordinating accessories for variety…now why didn't I think of that?

J'adore the first and fifth ensembles. Just lovely.

Reminds me how versatile "navy" is – you know, I like navy polka dots and stripes, too (nautical, of course…who can forget a sailor collar…). Gotta say, though, your first frame with the red, LOVE it! Navy…it's year'round, isn't it? I just don't think it looks good on me the way black does, though. I tend to build around black. Or else I'm hiding behind black. Hmmm….

What a great post. I'm enjoying all of these framed around simple sold color dresses. Now–if I can just find dresses similar to these that I like and that fit!

Thank you, I've got the navy dress but may have liminted myself by adding the off white pickstitching for some of the variations above, however I can see quite clearly that I need to do so some serious accessory shopping.

You can always take a sharpie and color in the pick stitching although I don't think it prevents any of these combos.

Looking at these combos, made me realize that I always think of navy as a dressy color and have almost NO casual looks like these you've put together. Eye opening.

I have a navy dress which has similar features. I wore it three times this week, once with maroon, once with cream and today with brown cardi's, shoes and accessories. I only wish you had a spot to upload pics of what we do when we are inspired by you!

I love this. I have a navy dress that I've struggled to style. My navy dress is the same cut and style, but the dress in the picture looks to be a stiffer or more cottony fabric…less drapey than mine…mine is a somewhat stretchy (has a bit of lycra) knit….cut is the same…do you think that mine is too dressy in the knit fabric to wear as a day dress similar to what you have styled?
