Oh dear….

COVID has finally arrived at our home – I’m not ill yet, but others are. It’s safe to assume that I will be sick sooner than later, given the close quarters of our apartment!

I will keep up with posts as well as I can, but I know that you understand what is most important at these times…

love,

Janice

As others have said, take care of yourself as best you can. When my husband started to show symptoms I quickly changed sheets on bed, deep cleaned bathrooms, prepared soups ( to freeze portions for worst days to come). Because we had or vaccinations up to date, we were confidant we were going to recover. We did recover but it took nearly two and a half weeks. Again, take care, slow down, plenty of liquids. Wishing you all the best. Your doctor may provide Paxlovid prescription. Hopefully you have some cold/flu otc meds and Tylenol or Advil for pain.

There is hope! My husband caught COVID while we were traveling in our motorhome, and I never caught it. We were so careful and ignored each other (as much as possible in a motorhome). At the time we had been vaccinated and double-boosted. Now we are triple-boosted. He was out for two days, but rallied soon after… though he tested positive for 19 (!) days. There is hope, and I hope your family are back in fine form ASAP.

My friend’s mother, in her 80’s, received Paxlovid fairly soon after testing positive and it helped get rid of the symptoms. It took 5 days before she tested negative in CA. Wishing you & yours a speedy recovery. Will definitely wait for you and your lovely posts whenever they appear. So grateful for your blog. Going to buy you a cup of coffee now.
