This is my favorite shade of blue! You just gave me so many ideas!

I also love this color. And I never thought to wear it with black.. Surprisingly it is elegant that way! Looking forward to your post on the yellow sweater. Mine is a light yellow. It looks great with navy and khaki but how to accessorize? This I look to you for inspiration. Thank you so much for this blog – so helpful.

One of my favourite blues also. A few years ago, I bought a pair of slacks in this shade and with the exception of brown, it truly goes with everything. Never paired with black either, but I will certainly give it a go.

Oddly, I would think it would look stunning with all browns. As long as you tie the two items together with an accessory (scarf?)

Love the first window, especially the Mary Katrantzou blouse but really can't afford $1500 for it. Is there another brand that might have something more affordable?

There are hundreds of other blouses and shirts that would work with this sweater; unfortunately, I have a hard time finding good-quality images of them. If the image is nice, it's often a garment shown on a model in some contorted position that no amount of cropping and Photoshopping will make plain enough for my purposes. I'd rather just show the clothes, so we can use these vignettes as springboards for our own imagination. If you have brands with websites you can suggest that show their clothes in simple images, I'd love to use them!
      thanks,
      Janice

I agree, the images are more for inspiration to me than literal 'wear this exact item'. I think it is nice that you include the links for the images, but I use your outfits to inspire me from what I already have rather than purchasing anything new! I love that same blouse as anon, so I know how that feels- finding something you really like only to find out it is out of your reach lol, but the purpose here is to inspire combinations using the basics we hopefully already have in our closets.

I agree with Janice that the blue looks very elegant with black and then it looks so fresh with lighter colours like white and silver. It is such a versatile colour, I think I might have to look for a sweater in 'petrol blue'. I am loving the v-neck sweater series and am looking forward to more.
