Denim and brown is my all time favourite cool weather combination. Now that I have finally learned to shop for the life I live, any one of these common wardrobes (with the exception of pink, of course) describes the bulk of my wardrobe. You have come up with some wonderful pairings that I would have never dreamt up.

I am learning to shop for the life I live too. But, sometimes, I am thrown a curve ball in the form of some never kind of event I need to attend that I am not prepared for. Most of these events are related to my husband's career and sometimes I have very short notice. I'm trying to cover any kind of occasion.

What would you substitute for the gray top in the common capsule? Some blondes just cannot wear gray near the face!

Might I suggest one of the mid tone colors from the scarf you choose? I can see this looking lovely with the lavender from the first scarf, the yellow from the second or one of the browns from the third. I would personally not choose the blue because of you’ve already got the denims.
