My post yesterday was about black and blue…seems to be a big trend this year! You always find the best shoes!

Janice: the description of the accessories is missing…. Otherwise — Wow!

Yes, please post the description of the accessories! I have blue-green eyes and am slowly building a scarf wardrobe using shades of navy blue, turquoise, and royal blue. I would love any of the scarves that are shown!

Really beautiful, but I also would like to know what/where the accessories can be found.

OOOOHHHH! That's me! And I have one silk scarf that does that — somehow makes my eyes bluer than ever!

Well, I have brown eyes. And I always wanted blue. I think we "brown eyed girls" can have fun with the blue, also. :-)

One of my favorite posts ever! Fond of cool colors mixed with my neutrals. In the process of packing for my first trip to Paris-so excited! Have some basics planned much like your post, just need to lay them out on the bed and play with adding accessories. I like letting the accessories do the talking so the clothing is neutral and less obvious how heavily it is rotated. Working towards a Project 333 type wardrobe. These outfits today would be great for many business casual workplaces, I would just add or switch to a blazer when I go out to meet with vendors.

Janice; would you do one for the hazel-eyed? Green and brown with glints of gold.
    =)
I have learned so much from your posts!

The electric blue accessories are gorgeous! I have green-brown eyes but this blue is calling my name.

Oh Janice – this is for ME! How do you tune into the special thing to look for in a person. I am rushing off to organise a blue theme for my wardrobe – and look for blue shoes! And I DO have a blue blazer – I will wear it to work today. Thank you for a fantastic series/post and your insights!

OK, nothing to do with this particular post, but I've talked occasionally to my student aides at my middle school about your blog. Today one of the girls walked in and looked at me, then said, "Is that outfit from the blog? It looks so put together." She assured me it was only because my scarf was tied differently, but I got what she meant–it was all greys and pinks.

I CAN dress myself, but thanks to your blog, I evidently am doing a better job at it:)

What I like about these posts is that they show how to think outside the obvious. I would have automatically put a scarf with tan and black or black and white with the tan pants & black turtleneck — along with tan/brown/black shoes, purse, etc. NEVER would I have added a blue scarf (which I have) and blue shoes (which I have never had). Cool beans.

I am loving this series of variations on the capsule. The core wardrobe is as basic as can be (apologies to the advertising world) yet you make it pop with the different colours and kinds of accessories. The little character sketches are like icing on top. Can't wait for each instalment!
