Stunning. This wardrobe fits my style to a T! Thank you for posting. My goal will be to model my current wardrobe around these amazing suggestions.

Also, I love those scarves you selected. Do you have any recommendations on how they should be worn? I've never worn silk scarves (year round) although I love wearing warm, cozy scarves and pashminas in the winter.

    Hi Vivienne,

I just had to let you know that today I found and bought the exact Cole Haan Loafers you had suggested in my Baltic Cruise wardrobe. I am thrilled.

I recently found your blog and have been devouring it. The whole idea of capsules is new to me. They are incredible! And you are amazing at putting them together!
I really want to do this with my wardrobe and have been trying to figure it out the last couple weeks. You make it look easy, but it certainly is not easy!
I saw a post you had earlier this year about creating capsules for people based on their colors. Are you still doing this? If so, I would love to be considered!
I am a thirty-four year old SAHM with a pretty casual lifestyle. I basically wear jeans and slacks with an occasional skirt and dress. I feel out of place in high heels and a suit jacket, but do wear casual jackets and cardigans. I have an hourglass figure.
I have not had my colors done professionally, but I am fairly confident that I am an autumn. I have reddish brown hair, green eyes, and a peachy fair complexion. Colors I gravitate to include coral (salmon), teal, and plum. I think my neutrals of choice are gray and camel (or khaki). But I really don't know for sure!
Thanks so much for your consideration and for all of the inspiration on your blog. I love it!
    Rebecca

    Dear Rebecca,
You could be either an autumn or a spring – I'll just work on a wardrobe for a Rebecca! Thanks for visiting my blog; I'll get to work on your wardrobe soon.
    warmest regards,

Beautiful colors. And it wasn't my request but it could have been…the writer sounds like my almost twin, except that I am definitely porcelain pale. So that left me wondering why the advice to not wear gray?

Ah, the advice to wait to wear gray was predicated on part of her email that I didn't print here – the requester told me that her hair was still quite dark and not turning gray yet, and that she liked wearing black, but was considering gray. Time enough for her to migrate as her hair turns gray. I'm actually working on a long post about how Vivienne was planning to migrate her wardrobe colors as she aged! Thanks for asking, and thanks for being here.

General quality question: Some of the items I like best in your wardrobes are from Oasis. I've never shopped there and I'm wondering about the quality of the clothing. Are there U.S. stores you could compare to Oasis?

    Many thanks!

I have never purchased anything from Oasis, but I know that they have stores all over the UK – the stores I used to pass in Dublin when I lived there were always very busy, and looked wonderful. Any other readers who can give us better insight?
    thanks for asking!

Just love the fact that you use colours in your wardrobes. So many people just use neutrals love the added colour.
The scarves you find are just beautiful art.
