1 Dress, 100 Days: Day 16 and 17

September 17, 2022

The weather remains warm, so I’m not able to tear into my sweaters and scarves, but I’m unearthing jewelry from before the pandemic to wear with Sierra.

I am not tired of my dress – far from it! It’s pretty freeing to have the bulk of my outfit already chosen, and to be able to think of nothing more than jewelry and shirt choices.

But I am eager to start wearing scarves every day! Any scarf that I don’t wear in the next 83 days will probably be sold – that’s a happy goal…

love,

Janice

That beautiful earrings looks very similar to that amazing necklace that you use in a “trio”!
Oh, and if I were you, I would start to tie a scarf or two 😁 to any part of the outfit to consider them worn and preventing them from slipping out of my wardrobe 😅

It’s fascinating to follow you on this project. It must also be nice for you to have every day’s outfit fully documented for you to review.

I remember that you often suggest trying a scarf around your waist or a thin scarf tied to your bag.

Although you aren’t tired of wearing the same dress every day, what is the reaction from your Mum and your Beloved? Are they supportive or beginning to yearn for a bit more variety?

You are now 2.5 weeks in, how are you keeping the dress fresh? Have you managed to keep it stain free?

Love it! I am looking at which dress I might want to put on my Christmas wish list. Not sure if I would really do the challenge though. I think I would just like to own one to wear as the urge strikes. (I am really attached to my jeans!) We’ll see.

I’m anxiously awaiting fall, so decided to watch You’ve Got Mail last night. What struck me even more than the beauty of NY in the fall, was Meg Ryan’s wardrobe. Classic, but not boring. One could wear every outfit today and still look current. One of her dresses looked very much like your challenge dress, so it was fun to see how she wore it. Of course Meg Ryan would look good in a gunny sack, but it really brought home to me the value of investing in classic basics that will provide years of pleasure. I’ve learned that from you over the last few years, and it’s fun now to see how it affected the way I look at clothes and fashion. Thanks for the inspiration!

This is such a fascinating project, and I’m addicted to it now! Can you check the link to the sandals in the first grouping? It doesn’t take me to the correct website, and I would like to find them. Thanks!

That’s a great way to see which scarves you really love and want to wear. I need to go through my scarves and at the very least rank them by most to least favourites. Ditto my earrings and jewelry.

Great opportunity to wear All The Scarves, and it will be interesting to see if there are any that you don’t wear.
