Capsule Wardrobe Fall Accent 2013: Vivacious

September 12, 2013

I’m always amazed when a bright shade of fuchsia or hot pink is considered a “special, seasonal” color, because it seems to me that it’s always available in some shape or form…

Love the way you have put this together – Pink is not my colour – I have Auburn hair blue eyes and pale skin therefore i'm an Autumn colouring I would love it if you could put an Autumn collection together with colours like purple dark green grey but no black

This pink has a lot of blue in it, and blue is always in season. My take is that the mid-range in saturation of any colour is wearable at least three seasons, and here in northeastern North Amrican, four.

I love the color and the way you put the outfits together. Question: have you purchased the Uniqlo pieces, particularly the tee shirts? I am a tall-ish person for whom tee shirts, when washed, tend to get too short in some cases. I am considering purchasing a couple of tee shirts (particularly because I like the price, and my tee shirts are very tired looking), but would like a review first. Any input? Thanks.

I've never purchased (yet) from Uniqlo – I'd love to hear from anybody who has, about their experience. Thanks!

I have purchased from Uniqlo. Their Tee Shirts are very long, great quality. I'm short-5'4". They hit me high thigh. I hem them. Fast delivery; great prices.

I am 5'8" and have a mid to long torso. I like their tshirt fit but I also never use a dryer so I can't speak to shrinkage.

Received my order of several tshirts today. Very happy with fit and feel. Hopefully they will wash well. Thanks for the tip!

I love how you show very few items in a fall accent colour with a basic wardrobe. Very inspiring and very refreshing. Thanks Janice!

I am with you on the so called seasonal colors. Fabrics yes, and to some extend prints also. But I do like dark brown tee shirts as much in the summer as I do my turquoise cashmere in the winter.

I just took this color combo on vacation with me. Several different shades of pink worked quite well.

I love that colour too! I'm just trying to think, but I can't remember any of it in my wardrobe except a 'closet orphan' t shirt. I think I need to get more intentional with my shopping so that I don't end up with one thing in a colour without anything to tie it into the rest of my wardrobe.
