Thank you for this post. I love navy and yet never thought of adding other color to wear with it. Your ideas make navy so much more versatile.

I absolutely LOVE those purple pumps…I had a pair of purple bow toed kitten heels and wore them until they were in tatters.

So lovely! I especially love the purple pumps. I have a pair and am often at a loss for how to wear them. I'm ready to bust them out again!

I have a pair of purple suede pumps that I wear with a grey sheath. Never thought of navy. Thanks for the inspiration. And I loved the Ireland packing post at A Femme….

Nice. Really nice. Great ideas/inspiration. This is like a cookbook, you can read the ingredients they use them as a springboard for your own masterpiece.

I agree with Anonymous; your blog wardrobe pics are as inspired and inspiring as Mark Bittman's Kitchen Express cookbook!

I've been struggling with a theme for my book – should it be "The Style Cookbook"?

I love the term stylebook for your book. "Cookbook" not so much, though I can't really say why.

I really like navy and it's always so difficult to source good pieces in my part of the world. I find it's a versatile as black.

I haven't seen a dress anything like this in the shops [here in Sydney] but I love it so much I will have to make one. I also love your comment janice about re-training the eye to enjoy flat shoes with a dress. I made a loose black satin v neck shift to wear for an evening wedding, but quickly discovered it was also totally great to wear in the day with flat sandals.
