This is the last iteration of the original “honeymoon” packing theme that I started over a week ago. But in the next few days, I’m going to do some imaginary shopping, I’ve got a chic sighting to share, and then I’m going to tackle a “second honeymoon in Paris” theme, which will have a slightly greater focus on neutral colors and modest silhouettes!

Thank you so much for such beautiful blog. I anxiously wait for each post to enjoy the surprise of what colours you'll be mixing! I wonder though whether we could make this formula work with more than a neutral and a pop of colour. I am going to Europe in June for a 4 days conference but am extending the trip and making it a family vacation. We'll stay for 2 weeks and have a 5 year old in tow, so no romantic nights out. Would you be able to suggest something for me with, say 2 neutrals and 2 accent colours?

Oh, Vivienne, that's so very kind of you! Let's see: black is a neutral too harsh for my skin tone and light browns/beiges close to my face make me look washed out. As I still cannot think like you do, I thought in terms of bottoms and tops: white, khaki and light olive green bottoms. Then I was going to get an array of tops to rotate: from breton striped Ts to taupe pointelle loose fitting sweaters, and from turquoise to purple pretty knitted tops. Dresses would be a completely separated category to me. Awful, I know! And if that wasn't enough there are the 4 days of conference wear! I wish I could only take a carry on so I need your help! :) Does this make any sense to you?

If you like turquoise and purple, and you can't wear black, have you considered grey as a neutral. Grey and navy are quite a bit more forgiving than black, and will work beautifully with everything from tee shirts to sweaters to whatever else I can dream up…

I just came back from a travel weekend with a VivienneFiles-inspired weekender shoulder bag holding everything I needed (gray neutrals with a golden yellow trenchcoat and a few white and yellow separates). I loved the lightweight freedom and the confidence that my little bag contained all kinds of combinations for various occasions and for changeable spring weather. Perhaps i could have some advice.I live in England and travelling to the U.S.A in November with my boyfriend to meet his family for the first time.Here is my dilemma.I will be travelling first to S.Carolina for a week,then to Boston for a further week and then to N.Y.for 3 days and don't know what to wear for all these different temperatures as I need to travel light.
I would be thrilled if anyone could offer some help.I hope to wear some navy and fuscia in my wardrobe.
