As soon as the weather warms up, white clothes are a common choice, even in Chicago. I personally would be more likely to go out naked than to wear white – especially a white dress, but I admire many of these choices. They bring a freshness to summer, and color to the streets.
And note that there are, indeed, a pair of leggings in the mix here. Worn, modestly, with a tunic that covers all of the anatomically graphic bits…

Love the white with the grape! Would never have thought of this.
I love wearing white denim, but have such a hard time keeping it clean! I usually have to wash them after each wearing.
Love white in the summer! I have several of these items or something similar, so this gives me new ideas for combinations! May have to get those pink flats.
Hi Janice – just curious – why no white for you?
The new grayed background seems to give your clothing photos even more depth. Is this a new photo app or did you do this on PowerPoint? (The red and white outfit, perfect for Fourth of July weekend, really makes me smile.)
I just used the grey background today so that they white clothes would be more visible. It was an easy thing to switch the background color in PowerPoint, but it's VERY difficult to work with the photos – there can't be ANY background anywhere on any images. It was time-consuming, but with white clothes as my focus, it seemed like a good thing to work on.
I like white also, as a matter of fact I look better in my white pants after a day handling dusty law files than in a black trouser. Not so sure about leggings though, is it an age thing, maybe. I'm tall and slender with fairly well shaped legs, but I just can't do it.
Just bought my first pair of near-white clothes: a pair of very light pink shorts (hey, you have to ease into these things). I'm suddenly hyper-aware of every meal with bright-colored food and other hazards. But so far, so good.
I just can't get enough white these days – white jeans, white dresses, white linen. Several seasons ago, Eileen Fisher used white leggings and tanks as a base and then layered linen dresses, tunics, skirts, etc. overtop. I loved the look but did not actually buy any of it. I live in the south – and you just don't layer when it's 90+.
Loved that purple tote so much, I bought one. Thanks for including the links…
Sign me up for the pink, grape and red sets. Beautiful! Susan in SLC
White denim skirt and white capris are the core of my casual wardrobe. Living in Florida it's summer year-round!
Though I can't wear white near my face I admire it on those who can; there's nothing as calming on a sticky day than a floaty white dress. But now that tanning is passé, fewer white-skinned people look really good in white. On women who have dark skin, it's spectacular.
Wearing white today and wouldn't you know it, my pants (linen) are already dirty! It was a trip to the zoo with our grandson (four years old). And I think the dirt on my pants is a little footprint. White is so cool and refreshing to wear in a Texas summer. I don't care if it is flattering on me or not!
Brava! If you're comfortable, and you feel like yourself in your clothing, then you have won! I personally think a tiny footprint on white pants is lovely – it's a sign of what matters most to you.
