The Vivienne Files 24-Piece Wardrobe Worksheet

The 24-Piece Wardrobe Worksheet is based on the original statement posed by Chanel, that you only really
need two suits, and the things to go with it! I posted about this concept first back in 2011, and again in the spring of 2014. This worksheet guides you through the purchase
of the two grouping of four garments, then the add-in garments in neutrals, accent colors, and prints,
and finishing with essentials to truly maximize the utility of your wardrobe. A simple, but powerful
tool for wardrobe organization and clarity.

$0.99

The Vivienne Files Combination of 3 Neutral Colors

Do you struggle with choosing a third neutral color to integrate into your wardrobe? The Combination of
Three Neutral Colors is a 183-page document that shows all possible combinations of fourteen neutral
colors into grouping of three. Each page of this document starting with two “core” neutrals (like the
dark grey and taupe shown here), and then shows twelve possible combinations that result from the
addition of one more neutral. If you’re interested in migrating your wardrobe gradually into different
neutrals, or if you just want to add more options to your wardrobe, this is going clarify your decision
tremendously!

How many pieces of clothing do you need worksheet

The question I’m asked the most often: How many pieces of clothing do I need to have in my wardrobe? But
I’ve figured it out, finally, that if you can answer four questions (two easy, two more difficult), I
can tell you EXACTLY
how many pieces you should own
. For the madly math-phobic, I’ve built a one-page Excel
spreadsheet for you. All you have to do is open it, type in the first four numbers, and the 5th one
appears by mathematical magic.

and needs to begin with the true foundations of a workable wardrobe.

Janice what program do you use to get your color blocks? As I move forward with my chosen colors I can figure our how to make the cool arrows. Thanks

I just draw shapes in PowerPoint – they have a bunch of default arrows and squares and things that work beautifully!

Janice, I just purchased your Cost Per Wear worksheet. However, I'm frustrated in filling it out. When I put in the purchase date and then the last worn date I keep getting a pop up window that tells me "this date must be after the first date". However, I purchased the garment in March, 2015 and wore it in April, 2015. April is AFTER March; but the pop up window doesn't agree. Can you help?

Can you take a screen shot of what you're experiencing, and send it to me at theviviennefiles@gmail.com?

I don't know what it is, but I can figure it out!

    Janice,
Everytime I place my cursor of the Add to Cart I get a PinIt! button so it takes me to Pinterest not to a place where I can buy the spreadsheet. Also had a question as to the difference between Starting From Scratch and the Excel Version of Starting From Scratch…
    Thanks

OOOOOOH, those Pinterest people are driving me nuts…

You can click on the corners of the buttons, and it will take you to the page to get the documents. I will see if I can get this improved somehow, so you don't have to micro-drive your mouse!

The difference? The regular document is a PDF – i.e. you can print it out and write on it. The Excel version is one that you can play with on your computer – it opens in Excel and you can type into the cells and save the document on your computer, or print it out, as you prefer.

thanks for letting me know about your problems – I won't know unless someone gives me a heads-up!
      big hug,
      Janice

I was having this problem as well until I switched browsers. I suspect something about the formatting in blogger isn't allowing certain browsers to connect the dots, so to speak. I am using Firefox for this process now and the shopping cart comes up just fine (was using Chrome, which is an unsupported browser in some functions).

Janice, do you have a document that would allow me to make my capsule by choosing photos of items, like you use in your posts?

    thank you!

I use PowerPoint. It's the best software I have on my computer for manipulating combinations of photos and text!

I have bought the Pantone color planner an hour or two ago, but I have an older version of Office-programs and cannot open files with the .pptx extension. It is usually easy to convert it to the extension .ppt by choosing the 97-2003 version. Can you do that for me? Or is it possible to convert it to a pdf-file?

I also tried clicking on the corners and all around, but to no avail. Your website is very interesting and helpful. Thank you so much. I know it is a lot of work!

Hi, Janice! Ever since I purchased your "How Many Pieces of Clothing Should I Own" worksheet, I've been plagued by a (to me) related question: how many pairs of shoes should I own??? The flats I wore this summer don't work in winter, and shoes I can wear socks with look silly with narrow-leg pants … I want to simplify my wardrobe, and footwear is mystifying me! Any advice or suggestions?

    Thanks!
    Linda

I really like how you show all the combinations with the clothing. I also appreciate that you include all, like jewelry, scarves, and even footwear!
