I am home sick today, and that hot water bottle looks heavenly . . .

A basket for groceries…in grad school I dated a German man who had one, complete with a little knitted cover around the handle. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to sustain the relationship. :)

I love the basket for groceries idea. Alas, I do not shop daily…but it is a lovely idea!

A basket for groceries doesn't work too well with my shopping, but I do use a reusable tote I purchased at Restoration Hardware five years ago. It's a beach bag, and it holds at least two regular paper bags' worth of groceries. So much better than paper or plastic.

This is a fantastic series – it ispired me to buy the book, although my French is none too good :-( I'm really looking to seeing your version of the remaining "objets" – it's very interesting to see your colourful, visually appealing approach set against her ultra-minimalist black-and-white choices, and demonstrates clearly that a pared-down approach to posessions can be interpreted in many different ways. Many thanks!
