June 2025 Six Paintings – 12 Months #4 – Street Lights by Stefan Johansson

June 5, 2025

This painting is really starting to grow on me; it’s certainly NOT colors that I usually wear, but the image itself is stunning. Anyone who can paint lights, water, and reflections impresses me!

At the end of May, our heroine had clothes from each season of the year, which makes sense. As with all of the wardrobes this month, we’re going to try to fill in some gaps!

If you’re ever going to wear sleeveless tops, right now is the time to buy them! Nice swishy pants for warmer weather are a good choice too. And thinking of cold weather (and price increases) to come, our heroine treats herself to an ivory cashmere turtleneck. For some of us, this is the kind of purchase that could last the rest of our lives! Good quality + good care = good value…

Ivory cashmere turtleneck – Lands’ End; pearl earrings – Farra; Eden silk scarf – Artifact.; moss striped tank top – Lands’ End; living coral tank top – Lands’ End; flats – Camper; linen palazzo pants – Lands’ End

Now, our heroine’s Weekly Timeless Wardrobe list looks a bit more complete. As always, it’s unlikely that this list will be perfect completed at the end of year, but it does give us a good guideline for things that she might need!

This wardrobe really looks quite complete, with a good balance of colors.

And her accessories are delectable! I think simple clothes are just fine if one has lovely, distinctive jewelry, scarves, shoes, bags…

Pulling together outfits for this heroine is so easy!

I always picture this heroine with greying red hair, green eyes, and two billion freckles…

love,

Janice

p.s. Ten years ago, I built a “Whatever’s Clean 13” template that you can print! You can scribble your ideas all over it…

I don’t have freckles, but my hair is starting to show its first gray hairs.
The capsules are all so beautiful, I especially like this one with the lovely warm colors. I like how different the outfits are every day.

Janice, one of my dearest friends is my age—just shy of 60—and a greying redhead with many freckles. This would be HER capsule. She looks fantastic in all of these colors and is, like many of your amazing heroines, a world traveler. She’s off to Asia for a month, with 3 weeks in China and one in Japan, in just one week. I’m going to share this post with her!

Additionally, this same friend wore this fabulous washable silk skirt from Quince, the last time we got together. I can completely see it fitting in with your wardrobe. https://www.quince.com/women/silk/silk-skirt?color=basil-green&size=m&g_network=g&g_productchannel=online&g_adid=707589353990&g_acctid=978-058-8398&g_keyword=&g_adtype=pla&g_keywordid=pla-2351174374536&g_ifcreative=&g_adgroupid=168165240209&g_productid=44942688420010&g_merchantid=128669708&g_partition=2351174374536&g_campaignid=21518894348&g_ifproduct=product&g_campaign=&utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid_search&utm_campaign=&utm_term=44942688420010&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21518894348&gbraid=0AAAAAC4ZeNZYZjtmfOZoC-_f_J6YTrvL8&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIkeXQxoTajQMV-zAIBR0j0iIYEAQYBSABEgJu0PD_BwE

I have been seriously tempted to order it within my own color palette!

FWIW, I got this one in dark red for the winter holidays last year & it worked well. 😊

oh gosh. This wardrobe is so cheerful. And the accessories! The gold/yellow might not be for me, but I’d cheerfully wear the olive and the coral/orange. Gorgeous. Thank you!

I really like this wardrobe although I never wear these colours. It’s so cohesive.

I love the cohesiveness of this wardrobe. Temperatures in the UK are below average. I was tempted to wear a polo-neck this week but wore a long sleeve top with a scarf instead.

With a softer yellow color, this could easily be my summer to fall wardrobe. The Artifact scarf with poppies keeps calling my name…

Love the colours and simplicity of this wardrobe. Not my colours but wish I could be a bit more disciplined to get my own wardrobe more cohesive like this one. Keep them coming Janice and hopefully I will get there.

For the first time ever, my favorite wardrobe this year is one that would not suit me. This one just hangs together so beautifully! And it’s so cheerful. And that scarf is gorgeous.

I have greying red hair & I wear these colors a lot. My eyes are blue rather than green & I have some freckles, & my coloring is mainly warm but more pale/pink than golden, so I like wearing warm tones but not necessarily the warmest of them–some olives are too yellow-y green for me. And I like teal & turquoise, which mix well with these colors.

I love this painting and this is absolutely my favourite capsule – it’s my colours (although I tend towards orange rather than peach) – and I’m fascinated to see it growing through the seasons. Thank you so much, Janice!
