You come back for your third year in great wearable style. Those striped flats made me smile on what is going to be a wet stormy day here. Definitely black or brown on the bottom. I am very tempted to give these LL Bean dresses a try. My work environment is fairly cacual, and paired with a scarf and/or cardigan they might just work.

Belated happy birthday to your blog! I tried unsuccessfully 3 times yesterday (on different computers even) to post and say how much I look forward to your posts, and how you have moved me from a conflicted relationship with my wardrobe to a spot where I enjoy my clothes and feel better about myself. Thank you!!! Also, I love today's outfits. Now – I hope this will reach you :)

Teal is a wonderful all year color. I would love to see it. I must tell you that due to your prompting, I located a lovely Lanvin scarf at our local thrift shop for $3. A quick wash with baby shampoo and it's perfect. I wouldn't even have looked before your blog. Thank you.

Ooooh, I had a Lanvin years ago that was stolen (I once had an entire BOX of scarves stolen, when I was moving) – Lanvin scarves are beautiful! Good catch – good eye!

Love the Pavois scarf. It is one of my favorites… I feel encouraged to take it out of the drawer and try it with more things… I had my first Pavois stolen out of my luggage on a trip to Europe. I was heartbroken because my husband had given it to me. After cruising e-bay for several months, I was able to replace it and find the same scarf in many other colorways.

Dear Janice: Happy Anniversiary a day late — the "blog gods" did not want me posting yesterday! Regarding all you've given us over the years, "Thank you" seems so inadequate…

Once again you have worked your magic!!!!! :) Looooooooooooove this display – it looks so rich and chic. Thank you for what you do for all of us on a daily basis. As one blogger said "thank you seems so inadequate…" but "un gros merci beaucoup" to you. Have a wonderful day.

    Liane :)

    Dear Janice,

Like so so many others, you have been the inspiration and lift I have needed all my life to finally understand wardrobe planning. I have wandered aimlessly for years among so many other wonderful suggestions but after finding yours and sticking to it, reading your blog almost religiously every day, I find that after repeated, I repeat! lessons (that was important), it finally sank in how you do it. Now it seems so simple, yet I needed your sublime inspiration. I cannot thank you enough. Jen

Thank you, Merci, Danke for all your wonderful suggestions these past two years. I'm making my way through your archives and look forward to continue to be inspired through your future posts. You have a gift to demystify and clarify and for that I thank you! -Marianne

Bonjour, Madame, I'm visiting Paris for the first time from the US and have used your blog "lessons" to plan my wardrobe. Base of Navy blue and Khaki with occasional splashes of green and orange. You've been enormously helpful and I'm going to buy my first Hermes scarf while here. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful sense of style.

    Dear Janice,
I have never posted a comment on a blog before but felt I must, firstly because I wanted to say "Bon Anniversaire" and secondly, to let you know how grateful I am for the inspiration you provide on a daily basis. I have only recently discovered your blog and have been going back through the posts. The blog truly has a "wow" factor and is quite awe-inspiring. I love the way you explain your thought processes and had a light-bulb moment reading your Step by Step "The Core of Four" etc series! At last I can see how to put together a Capsule Wardrobe and am starting to apply your principles to my own wardrobe. And I'm going to be looking out for some gorgeous shoes like the ones you wear – so comfortable and stylish.
Janice, you are a daily inspiration, thank you so much. – Elizabeth.
