Many of the color and clothing combinations — the solid colors, etc. — included here are "predictable" (as much as turquoise and brown can be "predictable.") But what makes these vignettes so important and enlightening, is the unexpected combination of a tweed dress and print scarf and a Fair Isle sweater and a print scarf. This is why you are my guru, Janice.

Really love this one — the colour combination is fresh. This one has sent me off shopping….

Always brightens my day! I've decided our responses to these posts says a lot about our personalities. Which one are you?
    A. Oh I love that! And that one! And that one too! I want all of them!
    B. SIgh. I could never wear that.
    C. It's great, but I'm going to change out the earrings for these gold ones and sub out my favorite boots and switch the tweed for my denim. Yeah, it's a great outfit!
    D. It doesn't work and here's why:

I think that underneath all responses is this: Janice, your astonishing eye and even more astonishing dedication to the gift of this blog are changing lives from the outside in–one reformed closet at a time. And thank you.

Love this! Especially the use of the gorgeous printed silk scarf in combination with other, complimentary, patterns. I'm always paranoid about this…and I love the way in which you've showcased it. Well done!

Now this really pops for me. I really had not thought of bringing turquoise in with my browns!

Wonderful as always! You know what I wish for? A Vivienne Files app that I could view on my iPad or iPhone. That would be awesome.

Mmmm….pretty!! I just purchased this scarf in the blue colorway, so this specific pairing is very pertinent to me!

What a great post. This is the exact pattern I am obsessed with right now, only in the colorway that Rebekah (above) just purchased. I tried it on myself and it is lovely. I just may go for it! I do love how you paired the scarf in this colorway with turquoise. It's gorgeous.
