Gorgeous! I'm working on easing the black out of my neutral wardrobe and I love your selections here.

Thank you, thank you. I've been in transition from browns to navy/grey as my hair naturally becomes silver-frosted, . But I didn't like to jettison my beloved browns and their lavender, mauve, amethyst accessories collected over many years. You've shown how to make it work together.

As another person who is trying to evolve to more navy and brown, I think this is gorgeous. Classic, with a couple of arty (IMO) pieces thrown in.

What does Vivienne think of your hobby?

This trench coat by MaxMara is particularly beautiful. I think THAT is the trench I want. Thank you!

My issue with navy and/or brown–what color tights do you suggest?

Tights are a PAIN with colors like this, but I'd try to match my hem. Probably haul my skirts with me to the store, buy every pair of navy tights I could find, try them all, and then buy two dozen pair of the ones that I like the most!

That's always a good plan – once you find tights that are the right size, color, texture etc., STOCK UP! Then tend to vanish like snow in July…

A very big thank you from Australia – its a perfect wardrobe capsule for the Navy and Brown & Soft white, with the blue, pink and lavender accents. I am so grateful for the energy and passion you put into this. Its also a glimpse into how successful your concept could be in the future of a "book" or maybe an interactive webtool where we could select colours and your wardrobe suggestions could be pulled up. Needless to say, your blog is now on my "top sites" in my laptop to follow your exploration of colour and style.
    Kind Regards
    from Australia
