Chic Sightings: Black Cardigans - Great Dresses

Now that summer has arrived with crashing suddenness in Chicago, the quality of Chic Sightings has changed completely.  At lunch time today, it seemed that half the women walked out of their cubicles wearing a black cardigan...  As soon as they got into the sunlight, the sweaters came off, and beautiful dresses, lovely shoes, and perfectly-chosen jewelry took center stage.

Looking back:

2011: French Music Friday: Camille - I used to post links to my favorite French pop music - including this most bizarre of "mouth music" works...

2012: One of my readers asked me about how to use a monochromatic scarf, in What to Wear With an Hermes Scarf: Peinture Fraiche.

2013: Balancing concerns about coverage and climate can be a challenge, and I tried to address this concern about Dressing modestly in a hot climate: travel in blue and tan.

  1. I frequently wear a cardigan as a third piece in my casual country lawyer's office. I'm dressed but not too much.... By the way, I am enjoying your new looking Bach feature. This blog is a treasure trove. Have a lovely weekend.

  3. I am enjoying your looking back feature as I have only read blogs for 18 months and you have shared so many ideas for achieving a great wardrobe. I really like the blue dress and shoes and I am going to shop my closet when I get home to create the look. Merci.

  4. Hello Vivienne - I have just joined "Blogloving" and am getting a daily feed from you. You certainly are most stylish and chicly Parisienne. Do you live in Paris ? I have been trying to get into your profile but with no success. What am I missing ? After an absence of some years I am now returning to my blog which I first started when arriving to live in Paris and Maine et Loire. I am looking forward to overcoming the technicalities of working with a template.
    Bon Dimanche.
